"Dakota Pottery"-This painting was juried into the Federation of Watercolor Societies and hung in the Albuquerque, New Mexico Museum from May 18th - August 18th,2002! It is pottery that my mother-in-law made and it is now collector's pieces. The pottery was made in the 40's and is refered to as Cable Pottery. It was made at the University of North Dakota and a print of this has been donated and will hang with the collection of pottery there. 14 1/2" x 21"
This painting is "High Tea" and is part of a series I have been doing of my teacup collection and some of my mother's tableclothes. I grew these David Austin roses in my garden last year. I am quite sure they are dead as the winter was cold and no snow cover but to get some photographs makes it worth whatever I have to go through! I love roses and will most likely plant more to replace these. 18 1/2" x 14 3/4"
"Jane's Apples"-These apples grow in my backyard and every year I am facinated with them from the time this tree blooms with all it's fragrant flowers until I pick the apples. I sometimes wait too long and then the deer and raccoons make fast work of it over night!!! They seem to know when the time is right to pick fruit!!! This tree has lived through 2 storms with 100 mph straight line winds. It had to be pulled upright once with a truck!!! That is my kind of tree! The original is owned by Jane Welle! 16 1/2" x 20 1/4"
"Spanish Gold"-These onions were so fun to paint! They have become a favorite of mine and really give that French country look that is so popular now! Really very beautiful in a kitchen or diningroom and it seems men love this painting just as much as the women do! The original has sold and is going to live in Washington or Arizona...we will see which house it fits in best! 14 1/2" x 18 3/4"
"Happy Boy Farm" -I did this from a photo or heirloom tomatoes at my daughters healthfood store in Oregon. These were the most interesting colors some of which I altered as they were pale pink and lumpy and some quite unbelievable!.I really enjoyed their shapes and then trying to capture the carboard box.
